If you haven’t seen much of Charlotte Free by now (you probably aren’t on tumblr) this is going to change very soon cause she just bagged two major campaigns for this season:Forever 21 and Maybelline. Until then, here are some of my favourite pics of her:
I love pretty much all products from Lush, they smell ridiculously delicious and are made with all-natural (and vegetarian) ingredients. I’m especially into their exfoliating body butters and shower scrubs but they are really expensive for the amount of uses you get out of them. Fortunately, scrubs are super easy to make at home as there are lots of natural ingredients that can do the job just as well as the Lush or drugstore products. I’ve come across quite a number […]
Some of you have been asking about my skin care routine, so here it is…. I have relatively normal skin, perhaps leaning a little on the dry side. I am super militant about skin care, because if I don’t wash my face at night, I will for sure wake up with a breakout; but as long as I wash it, I won’t. I’ve used the 3-step system from Clinique for dry/combination skin (which basically means normal-dry skin) for about 6 […]
I know, I know the Fashion against Aids collection has been all over the blogosphere for the past few weeks, but I just realised that it’s actually coming out in 6 days, this Thursday! And until the release, H&M is collecting kisses! 1$ for every uploaded picture. Click here to upload yours and see the gallery.
Hello! I’ve got another DIY tutorial for you, for a little project I did when I was at home for Easter. Well, actually it was a little more time consuming than some of my other DIYs, mainly because I lacked some of the necessary handyman skills:). It’s probably a quick one-hour project for anyone who knows how to mount stuff onto walls and all that. I was going to make this as a coat hanger, but actually you can use […]
I love simple long sleeve body con dresses, especially these from American Apparel. The quality is amazing and they also have the best colour range. I like the wide neckline and back opening, although the shoulders tend to fall down. I wear these kinds of dresses during the day, but without tights and with high boots they are definitely party-appropriate. I used some leftover leather string as a hair tie.
The four nail polishes I’ve worn the most this month completely reflect my new favourite colour scheme of lots of white with lavender and turquoise or light green. I just finished shooting another DIY in those colours and I’ve been wearing my braid bracelet nonstop since I made it :). I don’t know why white nails haven’t been more popular, I think they are the perfect match for all minimal-but-edgy outfits. Oooh, and I just found out about American Apparel’s […]
In my opinion, one of the biggest indicators of true personal style is having a strong signature look or uniform. Just think of Emmanuelle Alt or Kate Bosworth who have very defined ideas of their own style and can often be seen in slightly different versions of their signature look. Finding the right signature look is no easy feat; you need to boil down all of your favourite things into a handful of essential items and at the same time […]
If you check out the jewellery DIYs I posted on this blog, you’ll see that they are mainly for bracelets. That’s because I see bracelets as part of my outfit, while earrings and necklaces are like my piercings: more a part of me than my outfit and I hardly ever change or even take them off. I also like necklaces that are special to me or remind me of something. I’ll either wear a gold or a silver thin necklace with a little […]
When I was younger I would only buy clothes for the fun activities in my life, and completely ignore that I also needed clothes for going to school or just everyday life, which was a mistake of course. A kick-ass wardrobe not only needs to reflect your style, it also needs to reflect your lifestyle. If you recently did a wardrobe detox, your closet might look depressingly empty. “I don’t want to wear the same thing every day!”, “I only have four […]
A manicure can involve quite a few utensils! Whenever I did my nails all the little bits and pieces would clutter up the couch, the picture above is a much nicer depiction of what it actually looks like. I recently came up with a solution: Instead of just dumping everything into one container and taking out everything I need individually, I store my nail stuff in two separate places now. I have one big MUJI tray for all my coloured […]
